Fun Details About the Authentic Chuck Wagon Cook-Off

       All Authentic wagons will only have food staples, utensils, and cookware that would be authentic to

trail ride era.

The Friends of Fort Griffin Association will furnish a draw bag with meat at noon.  The meat will be

 consistent to 1866-1880 time period.  The meat draw bag will include venison, buffalo, veal, quail, dove, wild

 hog, rattlesnake, and more!  Teams will prepare only enough for the judges. Judging begins at 6 p.m.

      Judges may even include the chuck wagon teams themselves in blind judging forms.  Only 2 members

per team: one cook and one assistant.

       The Grand Prize Winner will be announced at the Friends of Fort Griffin Gala, Saturday, Oct 13th.

All wagons will receive incredible Welcome to Albany bags.
